“Journeys”. These make us who we are.  South Asian Diaspora has used Indian Classical dance and art to transfer knowledge about their identity to their children. For kids from the South Asian Diaspora, exploring temples and dance is a means of connecting to their roots. The painting of this dancer is set in Thanjavur Temple where Bharathanatyam is said to have flourished. It is a celebration of the journey of discovering identity.
